Independent Research I
Mentored by Dr. Surajit Dey, BS Pharm, PhD at Roseman University (Junior Year, 2024 to Ongoing).
Spearheaded a research project investigating the use of AI Neural Networks for the “Early detection of breast cancer”, focusing on non-invasive risk factors.
Translated research into a practical tool by designing and launching Early Aware. (https://earlyaware.flutterflow.app/ ). The app provides users a preliminary cancer risk assessment based on readily available metrics like age, BMI, glucose, and insulin levels.
Developed and trained five distinct neural network classification models using the Breast Cancer Coimbra and Wisconsin datasets. The models were designed to classify tumors as benign or malignant, achieving a peak predictive accuracy of 99.12%.
Currently, I am authoring a formal research paper detailing the project's methodology, model performance, and findings, with the goal of submission to a peer-reviewed academic journal or conference.
Working on AI models to detect breast cancer using image scans which includes analyzing Ultrasound and MRI’s images.
